The Ukrainian President Volodyymyr Zenskyy did not apologize for the heated exchange with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, but told Fox News in an exclusive interview that he is convinced that their relationship can be salvaged.
“Mr. President, do you think your relationship with President Trump can be stored after today?” Fox News Chief Political Anchor Bret Baier asked Zenskyy.
“Yes, of course, because it is more than two presidents. It is the historical relations, strong relationships between our people. And that is why I always started … to thank your people of our people,” Zenskyy said during an exclusive interview “Special report” Friday.
“Of course, grateful for the president and, of course, for the congress. But in the first place for your people … we really wanted to have all these (sic) strong relationships and where it counted. We will have it.”
Zenskyy said he “was not sure that we did something bad” when he asked him the heated exchange, but admitted that the substance was “bad for both parties”.
Zenskyy’s meeting with President Trump and vice -president JD Vance broke out in a screaming game in the White House on Friday that was seen worldwide. The Ukrainian president traveled to the US to meet Trump after the supreme commander said that a peace negotiation to end the war between Ukraine and Russia in the final phase.
The Trump government was also busy with an agreement with Ukraine in Ink that would give the US access to the minerals of Ukraine in exchange for support offered the Nation since the war broke out in 2022, as part of the peace agreement.
The Oval Office Throwdown led to a canceled press conference, a mineral agreement off the table and Trump asked the Ukrainian president to leave, confirmed an official of the White House.
