Zenskyy meets British Prime Minister Keir Starmer after Trump Clash

The Ukrainian President VolodyMyr Zenskyy was greeted heartily by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer outside 10 Downing St. in London on Saturday, one day after the tense exchange of Zenskyy with President Donald Trump in Washington, DC

Zelemskyy and Starmer, who met Trump on Thursday in Washington, shaking hands, waved, waved and gave a thumb up to reporters before they went to the prime minister’s home for their meeting.

The planned visit in London comes after that of Zenskyy Blowup with Trump and vice -president JD Vance during Friday’s television meeting in the Oval Office.

Zenskyy was peppered with questions from screaming reporters about Trump outside the prime minister’s home, but remained tight lips.

Starmer said to Zenskyy when he greeted him: “Well, just let me say that you are very, very welcome in Downing Street here. And as you heard of the cheers on the street outside, you have full support about the United Kingdom, and we stand with Ukraine as long as it can last.”

He added, “and I hope you’ve heard so that cheering in the street. That is the people of the united kingdom coming out to demonstrate how much they support you, how much they support ukraine, and our absolute whatmination to astermination, whalingy, Peace, a Lasting Peace for Ukraine Based on Sovereigtyty and Security for Ukraine, So Important For Ukraine, So Important For Europe, and So For The United Kingdom.

Zenskyy answered: With pleasure. Thank you very much. “

He added that the British people have given Ukraine “great support from the start of this war.”

Zenskyy said that he is also ‘very happy’ to meet King Charles III in his home in Sandringham on Sunday.

Tensions rose during the Oval Office meeting on Friday about a potential peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine after Zenskyy said that Russian President Vladimir Putin could not be trusted and had broken other similarities.

Trump and Vance then accused Zolenskyy that they were not grateful for the support that the US has offered over the years and said that the Ukrainian leader was in a “bad position” at the negotiating table.

“You play cards,” said Trump. “You are gambling with the lives of millions of people. You are gambling with the Second World War. You are gambling with the Second World War. And what you do is very disrespectful for the country, this country.”

After Vance had told that Zenskyy had manpower and military recruitment problems, Zenskyy said war that means “everyone has problems, even you”, adding the US would feel the war “in the future”.

“Don’t tell us what we’re going to feel,” Trump replied. “We try to solve a problem. Don’t tell us what we’re going to feel.”

Zenskyy was asked to leave the White House after the exchange, a planned news conference was canceled and a deal for Ukraine to give the US its rare earth minerals was not signed.

Zenskyy expressed his gratitude for that of America Help after the meeting.

“Thank you America, thanks for your support, thanks for this visit,” he wrote on X. “Thanks @potus, the congress and the American people. Ukraine just needs and lasting peace, and we work exactly for that.”

Zenskyy said that he “was not sure that we did something bad” when he was asked about the heated exchange, but admitted that the substance was “bad for both parties”.
