The Chuck an actor shared via Instagram on Friday, December 6, that his girlfriend Maggie Keating was pregnant with the couple’s first child.
“I wanted to be a father literally since I was a child. I’ve always felt this calling in my life,” gushed Levy, 44, in the post that revealed the exciting news. “This desire in my heart. A strange feeling of incompleteness from not having that level of love and responsibility in my journey. That the best years of my life will be on the other side of finally being a father.
He continued, “But I knew deep down that there were things in my life that needed to change before I was ready for the blessing of something so special and the responsibilities that come with it.”
Levy also detailed the changes he went through as he prepared to “manifest” his dreams of becoming a father.
“Last November I started making some changes in my life. Changes that ultimately boil down to loving and appreciating myself more. I prioritize my own health physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually,” he wrote. “And lo and behold, immediately things began to manifest themselves for the better. And very quickly God brought brilliant, honest, grounded and deep love into my life through the angelic form of @maggiekeating. A beautiful woman on the same journey of self-discovery and love, ready to enter a new and amazing chapter of life with me. So we did it. 🥰”
Awaiting the baby’s arrival, Levy joked that the couple is open to suggestions when it comes to the yet-to-be-determined name of the newborn.
“We can’t wait for you all to meet our little baby. We’re waiting until the birth to find out the gender, but either way I’m going to freak out,” Levy wrote. “I’m always accepting potential baby names. Keep them original, but not TOO original. We don’t need them being bullied any more by their theater geek dad.’
Along with the lengthy caption, the actor shared an ultrasound of the couple’s unborn child, as well as a loved-up couple featuring Levi and Keating together.
Levy recently hit the headlines after her former Broadway co-star Laura Benanti45, took aim at the actorclaiming she “never liked him”.
“Everybody was like, ‘He’s so great!’ And I was like, ‘No, he’s not,'” she said on the Wednesday, Dec. 4 episode of That’s a Gay Ass Podcast, adding, “He sucks all the fucking energy out of this room.’
