An American woman was arrested in Paris After she reportedly thrown a newborn baby out of a hotel window, according to reports.
The office of the public prosecutor confirmed the incident, reported for the first time by the local Outlet Paris match, with the New York Post on Monday. The child was thrown out of the window earlier that morning.
Allegedly the fall took place from a window on the second floor. The newborn received medical care for emergencies but did not survive.
The hotel is located in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, a neighborhood that is popular with tourists who want to visit the Père Lachaise Cemetery, where Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison, Frédéric Chopin and other remarkable people are buried.

The American woman, who is currently being held, would participate in a group of young adults traveling in Europe. The competition in Paris described her as part of a ‘study trip’.
Officials investigate the case as a possible copy of “pregnancy denial”, where a woman is not aware of her pregnancy or unable to accept it.
