WME drops Justin Baldoni as a client amid Blake Lively lawsuit

Justin Baldoni has been dropped as a client by WME.

According to Deadlinethe decision was made by WME management on Saturday, December 21, for the talent agency to part ways with Baldoni, in part due to the sexual harassment complaint filed against the actor/director by his It ends with us costar Blake Lively on Friday, December 20.

Lively, for her part, is still repped by WME.

On Friday, Lively filed a sexual harassment case against Baldoniin which she alleged his behavior on set It ends with us – which he starred in, directed and produced – caused her “severe emotional distress”. (Lively also produced the film and stars as the title character, Lily Bloom.)

The lawsuit alleges that a meeting was held during the film’s production in January 2024 to address Lively’s claims of a “hostile work environment” on set. The meeting was attended by many people who worked on the film, including Baldoni and Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds.

As the complaint states, Lively’s requests for the meeting included “no more showing of Blake’s nude videos or images of women, no more mention of Baldoni’s alleged previous “porn addiction”, no more discussions of sexual conquests in front of Blake and others, no more references to the genitalia of the cast and crew, no more inquiries about Blake’s weight, and no more mention of Blake’s dead father.

In a statement to Us WeeklyBaldoni’s lawyer Brian Friedman addressed Lively’s “completely false, outrageous and intentionally obscene” claims, claiming the actress filed the lawsuit to “repair her negative reputation” and “reframe the narrative” regarding the film’s production.

Lively, on the other hand, accused Baldoni’s team of deliberately dragging her name through the mud calculated “astroturfing” campaign..

In a statement to New York Times in December, Lively said, “I hope my lawsuit helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to hurt people who speak up about wrongdoing and helps protect others who may be targeted.” The actress also denied to have spread negative information about Baldoni.
