The Death Riders have been a powerful faction since their inception a few months ago. The group has taken out anyone who got in the way of Jon Moxley’s vision for AEW.
However, the team seems to have a weak link Wheeler Utah. When Mox and his crew turned on Brian Danielson, Utah wasn’t part of the decision and was shocked. This shows that they probably consider him inferior to the rest. The 28-year-old was not an original member of the Death Riders and only joined them after Mox had defeated Bryan Danielson for the AEW World Championship.
Looking back on their days at Blackpool Fight ClubYuta was always seen as the weakest member of the group. He was always treated like a kid who would. This week on Dynamite was a perfect example of this, when Decoder was the one who got pinned during the Death Riders’ three-way match against Rated FTR.
The Distributor of violence could begin to see him as responsible. If Moxley wants to achieve his vision then he needs to get rid of those holding him back and that might mean Wheeler Yuta. He can ask Claudio Castagnoli and PAC to carry out the task of attacking Yuta and kicking him from the team similar to what they did to Bryan Danielson. This is arguably the best way forward for the group to maintain their dominance and send a message that even one of their own would not be tolerated when it came to the overall goal of Jon Moxley and his Death Riders.
Konnan is no longer a fan of Jon Moxley
Jon Moxley and the Death Riders have done some controversial things in a short amount of time. Mox is responsible for booking history, and while they strive to be seen as a dominant force, the band has come under fire lately from fans and legends alike for their lackluster booking.
Speaking of his Keepin’ It 100 Official podcast, Konnan recalled hearing about Jon Moxley for the first time from a WWE trainer. He admitted that he was impressed after seeing one of his promos in India. However, based on his current bookings, Konnan said he was no longer a fan of Mox.
“I remember Norman Smiley who works on the equivalent training guide in WWE and I remember him saying here is this guy…what was his name before Moxley…Dean Ambrose. There he goes there’s this kid called Dean Ambrose. Watch him because he’s very different. He’s going to be a star one day and so I went and looked him up and saw this promo that he did. I was like, ‘Wow, this one guy is good”, so I was a fan of Dean Ambrose Moxley. (2:15 – 2:55)

Jon Moxley will not be happy after the Death Riders’ recent loss to Rated R Superstar and FTR. It will be interesting to see if there are repercussions for Wheeler Yuta.
