Getty Images (2)Tyler Perry has a close relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle — but it didn’t need to be too manual when they moved to the states.
“Megan is from California. She knows California well. So there was nothing to prepare them for,” Perry, 55, said in an interview with The Sunday Times Posted on Sunday, December 8th. “But I will say this: What I’ve learned about mentioning them — because there’s this voracious appetite to know everything about them — is that every question asked becomes the title of everything I say.”
The TV mogul is known for his close relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, opening his Los Angeles home to them in 2020. In the 2022 Netflix documentary Harry and MeghanMarkle described meeting Perry.
“I had never met him before,” she said. “I was a wreck. I just cried and cried. Sometimes it’s easier to open up to someone who doesn’t know anything, and that was that moment with me and Tyler.
Although many celebrities are very, very rich, only a few have achieved billionaire status. Perry was honored for her work in the film at the event, and the two longtime friends posed for photos together on the red carpet.
Perry, for his part, was candid about his relationship with Meghan and Harry in an interview with E! News.
“This is true, pure and beautiful friendship. I love them,” he gushed on Wednesday.

He also addressed recent speculation about the couple’s marital problems, which they sparked when they started appearing at events alone.
“They love each other,” Perry told E!. “They have a wonderful family and I just want the best for them.”
That same day, Prince Harry also recently addressed the rumors during a conversation at the New York Times DealBook Summit.
“We’ve obviously bought or moved houses 10, 12 times. Apparently we’ve also been divorced maybe 10, 12 times. So it’s just what?” he said. “It’s hard to keep up with it, but so you just kind of ignore it. The people I feel sorry for the most are the trolls. Their hopes just build and build and it’s like, “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,” and then it doesn’t happen.
