Surviving bar stool season 4 ended after more than a month.
The game show based on survivedbrings some of the biggest names in Barstool Sports under one roof to compete – this time – for $250,000. The latest season, which ended Thursday, Jan. 16, was full of firsts, from the number of employees who competed (24) to where the competition took place (at Barstool’s Chicago office).
Host Jeff D. Lowe said during the premiering in December 2024 that founder of Barstool Dave Portnoy gather the main group of competitors.
“I have no idea what to expect, it’s a stellar line-up,” said Portnoy, who was also in the race. “I don’t think we’ll ever get this group of people together in one room again. I’m excited.”

Ria Ciufo took home Surviving bar stool award during Thursday’s finale.

Who is the winner Ria Ciuffo?
Ciuffo, who won this season, has hosted the Chicks in the Office podcast with Fran Mariano since 2017. She has been working at Barstool since she was hired as an intern. Ciuffo is engaged to a Barstool colleague Marty Musch.

Before that, the stakes were much lower. This season, the winner received $250,000 in cash, which was kept in a briefcase that was shown at the start of the season.
“I love the cast and I wanted to make it a worthwhile award, where maybe some people who would be on the fence or wouldn’t have a game would say, ‘Yeah, I’ll play for that,'” Portnoy said during the first episode of season 4, with details of the higher reward.

What is ‘Surviving Barstool’ and ‘Bussin’ With the Boys’ Drama?
Bussin’ With the Boys hosts. Taylor Lewan and Will Compton (who won Surviving bar stool season 3 in 2024) were rejected during what was dubbed the “Pink Wedding” this season.
After their elimination, it was explained why Portnoy didn’t want any of them to take the prize.
“Right Now ‘Bussin’ With the Boys” the crew is in negotiations for a bag on the next contract,” Compton said during his confession earlier this month. “You have to think if you’re Dave and Dan (“The Big Cat” Katz)you can’t have the guys from ‘Bussin With the Boys’ going wild making $250K.”
After their elimination from the show, Compton texted Ciuffo about backstabbing Portnoy and taking him out of the competition despite her alliance. She refused.
It is not yet confirmed whether their contract has been renewed.
