Trump wrote in a Saturday -wareocial function that he ‘had ordered the army of the United States decisive and powerful military action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen. ”

US Central Command said on Saturday that “a series of operations initiated consisting of precision attacks against Iran-supported Houthi goals in Yemen to defend American interests, to scare off enemies and restore the freedom of navigation.”
Spokeswoman Tammy Bruce of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Rubio spoke with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
“The secretary has informed Russia about American military deteriorations against the Houthis supported by Iran and emphasized that continuous Houthi attacks on American military and commercial shipping in the Red Sea will not be tolerated,” Bruce wrote. “Secretary Rubio and Foreign Minister Lavrov also discussed the following steps to follow recent meetings in Saudi Aarabia and agreed to keep working on recovery between the United States and Russia.”
