When is the Champions League draw? How it works and where to watch on TV


The refreshed form of the Champions League will include a new round Knockout Play-Off in February, setting the final teams moving to the 16 scenes.

The top eight teams from the championship phase will ensure immediate entry into the next stage.

They will unite with the players of the play-offs, who will consist of eight bonds with two legs that include teams that end between the ninth and 24th place in the championship.

Five British teams participate in this season’s Champions League: Liverpool, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Celtic and the final will take place at the Allianz Arena in Munich on May 31, 2025.

The Knockout draw will be from the home of European football in Nyon, Switzerland.

When is the Champions League draw?

The Play-Off draw for the Champions League is scheduled for January 31, 2025 at 12 pm GMT.

The groups placed between the ninth and 16th in the ranking will be sparked, while those who end between the 17th and 24th will be vague.

Each seed group will face a miserable opponent in the play-offs, with the advantage playing the second leg at home.

In addition, the teams will be grouped accordingly, which means that the ninth and 10th groups will be drawn either from 23 or 24th, while 11th and 12th place will be combined with those who end the 21st or 22nd, and so everybody.

The eight victorious teams from the play-offs will move on to the last 16, joining the top eight of the championship phase.

The competition will proceed to a simple knockout form of the final.

When will the matches take place?

The Play-Off tour will be challenged over two feet, which will take place on 11-12 and 18-19 February 2025.

The draw for the last-16 and later Knockout rounds is set for February 21, 2025, after completing the play-offs.
