‘We’re changing’ – Amorim hopes the good times come to Manchester United

Manchester United Ruben Amorim’s coach says he can see his team’s progress during training, even if the results are not going this season.

The Red Devils lose in the lower half of the Premier League table and could fall until the 16th until the end of the weekend.

It was a difficult transition period for the Red Devils since Amorim took over from Erik Ten Hag, with the Portuguese boss finding no success with the change of system.

But he says in training things are getting better, but they have to translate it into game situations.

Speaking at the press conference before the race, he said: “It’s more important in training and what I see in education is that they improve and build relationships. We hold and understand the way we want to play.

“Even the sound of education is different – when we do an exercise, you feel the sound. People speak, asking for the ball and giving instructions.

“You can feel it in the environment, we change. It is important to use it in the game.

“In some games you think it’s more difficult. You feel we can play and create situations and that’s good.

“At this time, when you watch the games, you feel there are more problems than solutions. We are capable, but we have to be consistent.”

Returning players

Amorim has also offered a positive information about players returning from injury.

Despite the loss of Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo for the rest of the season, there are some key names for the trip to Everton.

He added: “This week is better than last week because we didn’t lose players.

“Amad is a long time, Mason (Mount) and Luke (Shaw) continue to recover, but I don’t have a date (for their return). Toby (collyer) is the closest but not now. We must customize.

“Altay (Bayindir) and Tom recover. Again, we have no date.”

Draw of Europa League

Earlier in the day, United was pulled against Laliga Side Real Sociedad in the Europa League last 16.

Amorim was quizzed in the draw but did not want to focus on a game that is still a few weeks away.

He said: “I just want to win against Everton. We are in a difficult situation in the Premier League and we have many issues to solve every game.

“If I see our shows and focus on Real Sociedad or thinking about the trophies right now, it’s not the right way to do my job. I just want to win against Everton.”
