The murderer of Ari Fuld ran for free last month.

Ari was an American who moved to Israel in the 1990s. A four -year -old father dedicated his life to defending the greatest ally of our country, who served in the Israeli army and then supports it in every possible way after his retirement. But in 2018 a Palestinian terrorist walked behind him in a shopping center and stuck Ari in the back. While he survived for a few minutes – long enough pursuant to the terrorist And even shoots him – Ari’s wounds were too serious. He was dead within the day.

Ari’s murderer was released from the Israeli prison As part of the deal of that country for the return of hostages, Hamas took on 7 October 2023. Although that is a deep pity, it is even more unjust that the family of his murderer has paid hundreds of dollars a month because he killed an innocent American. They benefit from a malignant Palestinian program that is known as “pay-for-slay”.

Ari’s loved ones have fought back. Since the 1990s, thanks to a Congress ActAmerican victims and their families have been able to submit civil lawsuits against the terrorists who have focused on them. The congress has strengthened that law in the light of legal challenges, in particular through the “promotion of security and justice for victims of Terrorism Act 2019.”

American families of the victims of terrorism can sue those terrorists. The Supreme Court belongs if that is constitutional. File: Family members and friends mourn during the funeral of Ari Fuld, 45, a Jewish colonist bothered in America by a Palestinian, 17 September 2018. Reuters/Ronen Zvulun.

Now, on April 1, the Supreme Court will hear arguments about whether that law is constitutional. The case is named after Ari Fuld, and his loved ones ask the judges to choose the side of Palestinian terrorists with them. The judges should do this, the ability of America to show even more terrorists to kill our citizens.

The Ari family is far from the only ones who have encountered the injustice of Palestinian wage for Slay. Palestinian authority alone spends almost $ 350 million a year on the families of terrorists who died to kill innocent people, including Americans.

The program is so great, it even has a formal name in the Palestinian authority: the “Martyr’s Fund”. While the PA recently claimed that he had ended Pay-Forlay, it has leadership since Made clear that it is not going anywhere. Its existence encourages more Palestinians to take a murderous road. They know that if they kill as many people as possible, including Americans, their families will be rewarded for years.

American victims absolutely deserve the right to sue those who help and retain this blatant evil. The constitutional matter is clear, like Many legal groups shown to the court. Lower courts agree that the US government has legal authority to impose criminal liability on foreign groups that kill Americans, but ruled that allowing civil matters would be ‘fundamental unfair’ by ahead. Not true. There is nothing unfair about demanding those who killed Americans to face civil fines for their bad actions, just as they must have consequences in criminal cases.

And the moral matter is even clearer. No American should worry that if a terrorist kills his son or daughter, their mother or father, the family of the terrorist will be richly rewarded. If that happens, Americans must be able to suggest who or whatever is the blood money. If someone was compensated for killing an innocent, it should be the victims. Justice requires nothing less.

This should be an easy decision for the Supreme Court. But the congress must also do the hard work of ending the Palestinian pay-for-lay completely. The congress must immediately pass the “Plo and PA Terror Payments Accountability Act”, written by the Republican Senator Van Arkansas, Sen. Tom Cotton and Republican Rep. Mike Lawler in New York.

The bill would impose strong sanctions on every person or organization involved in paying terrorists for killing innocent people. The Palestinian groups that reward murderers, together with their foreign financiers, would think twice if their own finances were cripple. The leaders of America must do everything possible to keep them responsible and to put an end to the murder.

The murderer of Ari Fuld may be free, but the search of his family for justice must continue. The most important thing is that no American family would ever have to suffer as they did.
