Match Preview for Wales v Kazakhstan
Craig Bellamy begins his efforts to lead Wales to the World Cup behind his back when hosting Kazakhstan in Cardiff on Saturday.
The former captain has made a wonderful start for life responsible for the national team, going undefeated in his six games so far, from which he has won three.
A 4-1 win over Iceland for the Dragons secured the promotion of League B at the end of last year, also securing at least one play-off party for the next summer World Cup.
In the end, however, the upcoming World Cup qualifiers are where Bellamy will be judged and hope to make a good start to a team containing Belgium, Northern Macedonia and Liechtenstein as well as Kazakhstan.
This qualifying campaign will be the first of Wales without former Talisman Gareth Bale since 2004, when Bellamy was still playing, with the 45 -year -old looking to lead to a new era.
Belgium seems to be the biggest opponents of Wales to secure the first place in the qualifying, with Saturday’s opponents Kazakhstan lasting a sad 2024 having lost seven of their eight games, including the defeats in each of their last five.
But while the World Cup qualifications will be a great deal of whether Bellamy is considered successful or failure, insists that it is not the most important thing in his mind.

“I want players to meet the conditions. I want to train in a World Cup?
“I want the money that can return to help us invest. Help us continue to improve our game?
“I’ll come and go … but I want a legacy. I want to be able to say,” During his period he did that. “
“The more I do, I always think this is serious, this is full time. It’s not a part -time role. People in Wales deserve this.”
