The Vivek Ramaswamy campaign submitted paperwork to start with his most expected run for Governor of Ohio, FOX News Digital can confirm.
The Venture Capitalist campaign submitted his designation of treasurer form to the State Secretary of Ohio on Friday. The form is a requirement before the campaign committee of a candidate provides any expenses or receives contributions.
The application is an official registration for the Gubernatorial Committee of RamasWamy. While the application was submitted under the name “Vivek Ramaswamy for Ohio” and online records did not record an explicit reference to the gubernatorial bid, Ramaswamy has seriously suggested the race of the Ohio Governor, which will take place in 2026. The application comes almost a month after it was revealed that RamasWamy left President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) initiative. “He is planning to go to a chosen office soon, so that he stays outside DOGE, based on the structure that we announced today,” Kelly explained. “We owe him enormously for his contributions in the past 2 months and expect him to play a crucial role to make America big again.”
Ramaswamy’s exit came out of doge after he and Tesla CEO Elon Musk Trump supporters are polarized about their support for H-1B Temporary employee visa. At the time, Ramaswamy spoke to his departure by saying that it was an “honor” to help create doge.

Republican leaders have approved RamasWamy in recent weeks, including Gop Sens. Mike Lee van Utah and Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee. In a message, Blackburn said that Ramaswamy has a servant’s heart and a brilliant entrepreneurial spirit. “
