India defeated Pakistan quite comfortable in the Champions Trophy 2025 match that played between the two sides in Dubai on February 23. The two main architects of India’s victory in this fight were Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer.
The twin came together when Pakistan desperately looked back to the game, but sewn a collaboration with 114 runs to get India on the edge of a victory.
After the race, Shreyas Iyer revealed that Virat Kohli was able to play a blow that won the match, despite the fact that he was not at his best in recent years.

Shreyas Iyer opens in Virat Kohli’s tone
After the race, Shreyas Iyer was asked about the speech behind Virat Kohli’s spectacular century in Dubai, despite the fact that he was not between the routes recently. Iyer greeted Kohli’s strong mentality that makes him different from others.
Iyer also recalled the practice of the team the day before, during which Kohli came an hour before all the players to be at his best during the match. It shows the hunger of the great man even at this stage of his career.
“I have never thought that Virat Kohli is struggling for running. It’s just the mentality he holds over the years. Crisp as he looks all the time,” Iyer said.

Shreyas Iyer feels India could have earned earlier
Shreyas Iyer further sheds light on the court and conditions during the second entries under the lights. He thinks India could have won earlier if they had passed an aggressive route. He also revealed that the ball stopped when it grew up, which was difficult for the strokes.
“I think we could win a little earlier. It could have been a convincing victory based on how Wicket was playing. At first it comes quite well with the new ball and then it was hard to score when the ball got a little old.
Shreyas Iyer came to the bat at No. 4 with the 100-2 reading score at 17.3 overs. India had just missed the SHUBMAN GILL hammer and needed a steady collaboration against a Pakistani bowling series desperate for Wickets.
Iyer initially took his time, which is unusual according to his standards, as he is a naturally aggressive stroke. After taking the whole, he got his chances and started playing his plans. Pakistan’s fast bowlers tried to attack him with short balls, but he was quite comfortable.
He completed his fifty 63 balls. In an attempt to finish the game quickly, Iyer was fired for 56 of 67 balls through a brilliant catch in the covers by Imam-Ul-Haq. He broke 5 four and 1 six during his hit.
The hit that Virat Kohli’s match won
Virat Kohli played another wonderful blow against Pakistan and was the main hero behind India’s victory. The 36 -year -old brought the 51st ODI percent and his first from the ODI 2023 World Cup against New Zealand in Mumbai.
It was a typical kohli one hundred consisting of a few dangers and many singles and double. Kohli made 72 run through them and two who show his ability as an ODI stroke. He got individual singles, but he doesn’t avoid taking off bad balls away.
Virat Kohli completed his century from 111 balls and brought it to the last ball of the race, breaking Khushdil Shah for four through the covers. It is a sign of a player who can be dangerous to upcoming games.
