Vinicius Junior says the Manchester City Banner is mocking the Ballon d’Or of Brazil or the Snub gave him strength to Real Madrid’s 3-2 victory in Etihad.
City supporters held a huge screen before the Kick-0ff Champions League play-off showing the Rodri midfielder by holding the D’Or Trophy balloon with the words “Stop Crying Your Heart Out”.

But it was also real by Vinicius who eventually had the last laugh with the Brazilian playing a key role in both of his late goals to win a 3-2 dramatic victory, including the aid for Jude Bellingham’s winner.
After the game, Vinicius said to the Movistar: “I saw it, I saw the banner. Whenever the opponents do such things, they give me more power to have a great game and I did it here.”
Later he added: “I was never afraid of my life by any tifo, by opponents.
“I just want to help the team and win for Real Madrid.”

Carragher: Man City Banner “Absolutely ridiculous”
Both administrators Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti refused to pull the banner, but Pundit Jamie Carragher believes the trick is massively back.
“It’s absolutely ridiculous,” Carragher said CBS sports For the banner.
“Why would you do it? What do you earn from it, even if the fans are? Why do people bother, why overcome someone? Do it at the end of the game when you hit them.
“Don’t start with the celebrations police. I don’t know what you earn – it’s not a joke tonight, right?
“If I came out and Steven Gerrard had won the Ballon d’Or, and had hit a Real Madrid player who would bother me as a Liverpool player.
“It’s like a jinx. I don’t like such things. Why finish some of the best players in the world? I know Madrid acted like babies who didn’t go there, but act like the right club.
“Everyone laughed at the real that is not going. Whether it’s Vinicius Junior or Carlo Ancelotti who doesn’t get the manager of the year.”
