Two men were arrested after video shows chaos in a New Mexico courtroom after they stormed the gallery and started a fight With a suspect of murder.
The fight happened on Friday morning during a hearing of a court in Albuquerque when the victim’s uncle, Carlos Lucero, rushed to suspected Alexander Ortiz, with another man, identified as Pete Ysasi, while he stood before a judge, Krqe reported.
Lucero shows the video in the gallery and the beating of Ortiz before Ysasi participates.
Other family members and officers were also seen to hurry to try to spread the fight, who only escalated there.

A correction officer was also beaten when he tried to break the fight, the video shows.
Bernalillo County’s Sheriff office Krqe told that while they held Lucero, he said delegates that he went after Ortiz because “he killed my niece like a coward” and “it was worth every moment.”
Both men are now confronted with charges of abuse, as well as battery on a peace officer.
The court told KRQE that this emphasizes the importance of the security of the courtroom.

“This is only one incident we continue to deal with. These are the types of things we regularly see,” says Katina Watson, CEO, second judicial court.
Watson also praised the officer for his quick actions in response to the fight.
“I really want to give recognition to the MDC officer who was caught in the middle of this, and he did everything he could to guarantee the safety of everyone,” Watson added.
