Gunvalson, 62, followed up with an interview on the Tuesday, Dec. 3 episode of “Viall files,” hosted by Viall, 44, with candid thoughts on the former bachelor star that she didn’t seem to know was being recorded.
Captured via video conference from the sandy shores of Mexico, Gunvalson ended her conversation with “Okay, bye, bye” and waved before launching into some not-so-hilarious remarks.
“It was a favor for her father,” Gunvalson instantly heard her companion, her boyfriend, say Michael Smith. “He has 7 million views.” It’s unclear whose father the reality star was referring to. “He’s got his own network, his own show … I’ve never heard of him.”
The heated moment with the microphone visibly amused Viall, who let the audio continue as he sipped from a reusable coffee cup. Smith then asked Gunvalson about Viall’s last name and RHOC star responded by mispronouncing Viall, which drew a chuckle from Viall himself.
The pair moved on to the topic of their time in Mexico before the podcast producers cut the connection and the conversation finally ended.

I’m not going to lie,” Joy, 26, said in the podcast studio. “She’s an icon.”
Joy, who married to Viall on April 27, following the birth of the couple’s first child, a daughter named River, in February, continued: “I’m not well. That really worried me. I was waiting for her to come back and say, “Oh my God!”
Viall seemed a little more relaxed to hear Gunvalson’s unfiltered remarks, though he admitted to having a “Breathless” running through him after the hot mic surprise.
Gunvalson, who left RHOC in Season 13 of 2018, but returned as an occasional guest star, has never been one to hide her true feelings. Recently, during the Nov. 7 episode of “Jeff Lewis Live,” she talked about who she thinks deserves to be removed from the current RHOC voices.
“I would definitely get rid of it Tamra (a judge), she said. “I think enough of this throwing of napkins and FBI hats and going to people’s trash is enough.” She knows I’ve felt that way. It’s not because I’m not involved, she is, I just think it’s enough.
Gunvalson also noted that “everyone” she spoke to thought the show was “too much” with her former top judge, 57, on board. “She’s always in people’s things, but she doesn’t want anyone in her things,” Gunvalson explained.
