Valnet vs. Giant Freakin Robot Lawsuit

Lately I’ve been using X platform and this website to report on the current state of the online publishing industry.

Earlier this week, Valnet, the media company that owns websites such as Screen Rant, Game Rant, Movie Web, Collider and CBR, issued a cease and desist letter claiming that my journalism “disregards” “denigrates es) and damages Valnet’s reputation,” “discredits Valnet,” constitutes “harassment,” contains “offensive statements,” and “intentionally and maliciously are spewing false, frivolous and defamatory allegations about Valnet”.

Below are two of the X posts cited in Valnet’s cease and desist letter as “illegal”.

The following is the full cease and desist letter sent to me by Miranda Ciavaglia, Valnet’s legal counsel, which includes more examples of posts that Valnet deems actionable.
