Marcus Rashford has dismissed reports claiming he has met with a leading sports agency in a bid to help secure a move away from Manchester United this month, branding them “ridiculous”.
Several media outlets have reported that the 27-year-old forward has held talks with Stellar, the same agency that helped secure Gareth Bale’s £86m move to Real Madrid from Tottenham in 2013.
Rashford is currently represented by his brother Dwayne Maynard, but reports claimed he was willing to join Stellar to secure a move.
However, the England international hit back at the speculation in an Instagram post: “Lots of fake stories have been written over the last few weeks but guys this is getting ridiculous – I’ve never met with any agency and have no plans.”

Uncertainty over Rashford’s future at Old Trafford has grown after he told reporter Henry Winter in an interview last month that he was ready “for a new challenge”.
The forward was absent from the squad for four consecutive games after being sent off for the Manchester derby by Ruben Amorim, but returned to the squad as an unused substitute for Monday’s 2-0 defeat by Newcastle.
However, the United boss insisted after the game that there was no ulterior motive in leaving Rashford on the bench.
“I’m thinking about the team,” Amorim said. “You think a lot about Marcus. I’m thinking about the team. When I’m there I don’t talk about it. I just want to win the game.
“And you can feel it, I’m talking about the idea and the relegation fight. Want to say something during a game? No, I just want to win the game.”
