President Donald J. Trump did not waste time implementing act against illegal immigration, Send a clear and decisive message to potential border crossings: don’t try to try, you will be sent back. Within his first few days in office, Trump’s actions have sharp contrast with the open invitation of President Joe Biden in 2016 to migrate migrants around the world to ‘rise to the border’.

Under the previous administration, Biden’s Border Tsar, Vice President Kamala Harris explained famous: “Don’t come” during a visit to Guatemala. They nevertheless came, ignored her empty rhetoric and looked at the open arms on the border instead.

Border crossings soon rose to levels, overwhelming border patrols, which endangers national security and endangering American life.

Trump’s first days back at the office Show the power of action. One of the most immediate consequences of Trump’s border policy has been a dramatic reduction of illegal crossings. According to sources of customs and border protection (CBP), meetings in access gates – international airports and official border crossings – 97% on the second day of the Trump administration. In general, meetings on the southern border fell 35% when comparing the last three days of the BIDEN administration with the first three days of Trump’s term.

The figures speak for themselves.

During the last three full days of the BIDEN administration, migrants were meetings in the penetration of arrival 1,645 per day. By Comparison, in The Three Days Following President Trump’s Inauguration, Encounters at Ports of Entry Plummeted to FeWer than 500 per day with only 44 by 8 pm on Jan. 22 Due to Trump’s Scrapping of the CBPONE App Within 15 minutes of Taking the Oath of Office.

According to the Biden administration, the app was promoted as a “legal path” for nearly 1 million migrants to enter the US, but critics argued that it undermined the border enforcement by offering an easy -to -operate mechanism for access. By eliminating this app, Trump confirmed control over the border and closed a Maas in the law that had been a magnet for illegal crossings.

In addition to stopping the CBPONE app, the Trump administration started repairing the proven policy such as the Remain in Mexico program, where asylum seekers have to wait in Mexico while their affairs are processed. This policy not only discourages fraudulent asylum claims, but also relieves pressure on American resources and infrastructure.

In addition, the administration has given priority to the termination of “catch and release” and increasing the repatriation of criminal illegal alien beings – even hiring the US Army to fly deportees at home. These measures send a clear signal that America is again serious about maintaining its immigration laws and protecting its limits.

The success of Trump on the border will cause follow -up effects. Here are five to watch:

1. Continuous decline of illegal crossings

The decisive actions of the Trump government will probably discourage future attempts to illegal access. Migrants and human smugglers will acknowledge that the political environment has changed, making it much more difficult to cross the border illegally. Success leads to success.

2. Cartel adjustment

Mexican criminal drug and human trading cartels and their allies in the Mexican government will undoubtedly adjust their tactics. Doing efforts on intimidation and bribery focused on American and local officials will be used to reopen smuggling channels. The Trump government, in particular a newly reinforced FBI under Kash Patel, nominated as director, must remain vigilant to prevent these evolving threats.

3. Response from the Mexican government

The government of Mexico has already begun to adapt to the new reality of Trump’s leadership and launches the “Mexico in Abraza” – Mexico hugs you – program on January 20 to welcome repatriated Mexican citizens, according to the Dallas Morning News. The program, with a new mobile app, comes in response to rumors about massive ice raids in the workplace. Mexican citizens who return home via “Mexico in Abraza” receive a bank card with around $ 90, to pay back for transport at home.

4. Adjustments of the labor market

Certain industries, such as agriculture and hospitality, can be confronted with labor shortages as illegal immigration decreases. This can lead to an upward pressure on wages that can benefit American employees, albeit with some inflatio effects in the short term.

5. Rise of automation

In the longer term, industries that are affected by labor shortages will probably turn to automation and artificial intelligence (AI) to meet demand. Historical examples, such as the mechanization of the tomato harvests of California in the 1960s after labor shortages, show how innovation can compensate for a reduced labor supply.

In 1961, 25 mechanical harvesting machines chose 0.5% of California tomato crop. Only nine years later, 99.9% of California’s tomato crop was mechanically harvested. Investments in automation will reduce the dependence on labor migrants and at the same time stimulate the efficiency of tax substances and machines do not draw welfare benefits funded by the taxpayer, and they do not overwhelm no emergency rooms.

Mexican criminal drug and human trading cartels and their allies in the Mexican government will undoubtedly adjust their tactics. Doing efforts on intimidation and bribery focused on American and local officials will be used to reopen smuggling channels.

Trump’s rapid success in curbing illegal immigration is a proof of the effectiveness of strong, decisive leadership.

His early actions – from scrapping the CBPONE app to repairing the policy as staying in Mexico – mark a sharp departure of the open arms of the Biden government for illegal immigrants and criminals from all over the world.

While border crossings are falling and the immigration system of America regains control, it is clear that a new sheriff is in the city, one who is committed to first setting the safety and sovereignty of America.
