Trump taps personal lawyer for the top role at Doj

President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he installed his personal lawyer, Alina Habba, to serve as an interim -American lawyer for the New Jersey district – the last in a long list of former lawyers for Trump he has tapped for senior roles at the Ministry of Justice.

Trump said on Truth Social Monday that he has tapped Habba, his current lawyer of the White House, to replace departing acting American lawyer, John Giordano, who, according to him, would serve as the American ambassador of Namibia.

Both promotions were announced on Monday by Trump on social media.

In the post, Trump praised Habba as someone who will “lead with the same zeal and conviction who has defined her career” and said that she will “fight tirelessly to protect a legal system that is both” honest and just “for the great people of New Jersey.”

“Moreover, John Giordano, who has done excellent work as an interim -American lawyer in New Jersey, will now be nominated as the new ambassador of Namibia!” Trump said before they both congratulated them.

Giordano, for his part, was installed as an acting American lawyer for the district less than a month ago by the American attorney General Pam Bondi.

Trump did not respond to his reasons for the somewhat abrupt personnel changes and the White House did not immediately respond to FOX News request comments.

His decision to tap Habba, an old ally who previously as a legal spokesperson for both Trump and his presidential Super Pac, Maga, Inc., served as the president to install or promote a long list of loyalists for senior law enforcement functions in his second term of the White House.
