President Trump said on Friday that he liked the idea that the United States is joining the British Commonwealth after a report that was claimed King Charles III would make an offer.
“I love King Charles,” Trump wrote on the Truth Social Friday morning while he was to an article with a daily post report that said that the prince secretly would offer the American associate membership in the Commonwealth during Trump’s second state visit to Groot -Britain. “Sounds good to me!”
Trump also posted the same report on Saturday morning on the “secret” offer of the King’s membership.
Fox News Digital has contacted the White House for comment.

The British Commonwealth, founded in 1926, consists of 56 countries, including Australia and Canada, most of which were originally British colonies. The prince is the head of the Commonwealth, whose maintenance was an important priority of Queen Elizabeth II.
Membership is voluntary.
The US was part of the British Empire before he wound after the revolution after the revolution.
India was the first country to stay within the Commonwealth after winning independence in 1947.

Trump had a friendly relationship with the deceased queen and always spoke high about her.
“I got to know her very well, and you know, I got to know her in her 90s, okay, but she was great,” Trump Fox News’ Mark Levin told In 2023. “This is a woman … 75 years she ruled, and she never made a mistake.”
Trump has also praised Charles and the heir of the throne, Prince William, whom he meeting with In December in Paris, but he had fewer fun things to say about Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle.

The president is planned to meet King Charles during a rare second state visit later this year. He met the deceased Queen and Charles during his first state visit in 2019.
The Daily Mail said that Commonwealth Member of the first term was driven during the first term of Trump, and this time around the hope is that it would alleviate tensions between the US and Canada if the countries act rate threats.

“This is discussed at the highest level,” a member of the Royal Commonwealth Society told the Daily Mail. “It would be a wonderful move that would symbolize the close relationship of Great Britain with the US
“Donald Trump loves Great Britain and has a lot of respect for the royal family, so we believe that he would see the benefits of this. Associate membership can, hopefully, be followed by full membership, making Commonwealth even more important as a worldwide organization.”

At the end of last month, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer Trump presented the invitation of Charles for a second state visit, while the two politicians met in the Oval Office.
“I think that just symbolizes the power of the relationship between us. This is a very special letter. I think the last state visit was a huge success,” Starmer said. “His Majesty, the king wants to make this even better than that.”

Trump answered: “The answer is yes. On behalf of our great First Lady Melania and myself, the answer is yes, and we look forward to being there and honoring the king and really honoring your country. Your country is a fantastic country.”

Trump described Charles as “beautiful” and a “great man”.
“I actually got to know him very well, actually the first term and now a second term,” he added.
