President Donald Trump On Saturday, an executive order signed that English made the official language of the US
The order withdraws an executive order issued by the former president Bill Clinton In 2000, “improvement of access services for persons with a limited English skill”, for which federal agencies and recipients of federal financing were needed to offer language help to non-English speakers.
The order notes of Trump, however, that it does not “require or focus” the services of an agency.
It is up to desk heads to decide whether changes should be made.

Trump to make us the English official language in new executive order
Although English was used as the national language of the country – seen in every historical administrative document – the US has never had an official language.
“A nationally designated language is the core of a united and coherent society, and The United States Is reinforced by a citizens who can freely conquer ideas in one shared language, “Trump wrote in the order.
The US is one of just a few countries without an official language. About 180 of the 195 countries around the world have made the distinction.

Trump has been pronounced about the designation of English as the language of the country, especially in 2024, because he criticized the former president Joe BidenImmigration policy.
“We have languages that come in our country. We don’t have an instructor in our entire nation who can speak that language,” said Trump during the conservative political action conference in 2024. “These are languages - it is the craziest thing – they have languages that nobody in this country has ever heard. It is a very terrible matter.”
