“This doesn’t have to be long. It’s all about common sense,” Trump said before he signed the order, adding that “women’s sports will only be for women.”

Trump stated: “The war against women’s sports is over.”

White House Pers Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a briefing before Trump signed the executive order that it “maintains the promise of title IX”.

“President Trump promised to restore common sense in our country and he continues to give it with an executive order that he will sign later today,” she added. “The president will sign an executive order, keep men from the sports sports to defend the safety of athletes, to protect competition integrity and maintain the promise of title IX.
