President Donald Trump announced his nomination by Michael George Desombre to serve as the next American State Secretary for East Asia and the Pacific.
Trump made the announcement on Tuesday and posted on Truth Social that DESombre served as an ambassador in the Kingdom of Thailand during the first term of the president.
Desombre is a partner at Sullivan Cromwell, where he leads mergers and Acquisitions in Asia.
He also graduated from the Harvard Law School. Moreover, Desombre went to Stanford University, where he obtained his bachelor in a quantitative economy and master’s degree in East Asian studies.

“I know that Michael will work incredibly hard for our country,” wrote Trump.
The president also announced that he tapped Paolo Zampolli to serve as a special envoy for global partnerships.
Trump said Zampolli’s extensive experience with the United NationsKennedy Center, and various international initiatives will help Trump administration to promote the interests of America on the world stage.

Trump announced that he chose Dearborn Heights, MichiganMayor Bill Bazzi to also serve as the American ambassador in the Republic of Tunisia.
Bazzi, Trump wrote, is a decorated American navy that served the country for 21 years.
He also worked as a quality manager at Boeing and a product development engineer at Ford Motor Company.

After having worked at Ford for 22 years, Bazzi took an early retirement to serve as mayor of Dearborn Heights.
“Bazzi worked hard during the 2024 presidential election to help us secure our historical victory, and I look forward to seeing the great things he will achieve for our nation,” Trump wrote about truth. “Congratulations Bill!”

In another message, Trump announced that Dr. Anji Sinha’s choice is to serve as the American ambassador in Singapore and her ‘called’ a highly respected entrepreneur with an incredible family ‘.
“The relationship of the United States with Singapore is of vital importance, and I have no doubt that Anji will strongly represent the interests of our nation and put America first,” the president wrote about truth. “Congratulations Anji!”
