President Donald Trump called the Ministry of Education a ‘Con Job’, after he said he saw a report that the nation around the world is 40th in education, but number one in costs per student.
Trump spoke with reporters from the Oval Office on Wednesday afternoon when he was asked how quickly he wanted the Ministry of Education (DIY) to be closed.
“Oh, I would like it to be closed immediately. Look at the Ministry of Education. It’s a big job,” he replied. “They ranked the top countries in the world. We are ranked at number 40th, but we are ranked at number 1 in 1 department: costs per student. So we spend more per student than any other country in the world, but we ‘re -arranged number 40. “
Trump said the last time he looked at where the US was in education, it was in 38th place, but then he looked two days ago and the country had fallen to number 40.

He even noticed that China was arranged in the top five.
“No matter how big it is, it is ranked in the top five, and that is our … primary competitor,” Trump said. “So if we are number 40, it means that something is really wrong.”
The president has commissioned the Ministry of Government Efficiency (Doge), the department led by Elon Musk, to find ways to defeat waste spending, and the Doe made the heel block this week.
