Trump adviser Alex Bruesewitz collapses on stage during a speech at the Young Republican gala


An advisor from That of President-elect Trump campaign, Alex Bruesewitz, fainted and collapsed while speaking onstage at a New York Young Republican Club gala Sunday night.

Bruesewitz, 27, introduced incoming senior White House aide Dan Scavino in a location in Manhattan when he started stumbling over his words and passed out, according to a video on social media.

Several people quickly came to his aid after his collapse. It was not immediately clear what caused him to faint.

Master of ceremonies Raheem Kassam, who is also a former aide to British conservative politician Nigel Farage, later assured the audience that Bruesewitz was doing fine backstage and even asked if he “looked cool” when he passed out.

“I talked to our friend Alex Bruesewitz and you know what he said to me? He says, ‘Did I at least look cool?’ I said Alex, you used gravity like I’ve never seen anyone use gravity in their life,” Kassam said. “But he’s recovering, so cheer for him so he’ll hear you.”

Trump also said after the collapse that he believes Bruesewitz is doing well New York Post.

“I know Alex is doing well because he’s a tough son,” Trump said. “There’s no doubt about that. So I want to say hello to Alex because he’s a very special man.”

Before his collapse, Bruewitz seemed fine as he praised the Republican Club of New York for backing Trump’s campaign. He also gave shout-outs to several supporters of the incoming president who attended the event, including former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz, who recently resigned from his seat in the U.S. House.
