Real Madrid is making significant progress in discussions to sign Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold when his contract with Anfield expires in late June.
If the deal passed, it would mark the end of a 21-year correlation between Alexander-Arnold and his children’s Club, where he is going to reach a 350th appearance against Everton on April 2.
While there is optimism that surrounds the negotiations, Sky Sports says the basic details remain unresolved, which means that there is no certainty that the right back will wear Real Madrid white next season, despite rumors of a five -year contract.
Real Madrid has been watching Alexander-Arnold for almost two years, forming a proposal to attract him to Santiago Bernabeu.
The 25 -year -old has denied an extensive and improved contract from Liverpool, signaling his intention to proceed from the Merseyside Club when his current agreement expires this summer.
According to existing transfer regulations, clubs outside England were able to negotiate directly with the player from January. If the transfer is implemented, Alexander-Arnold will participate in her colleague England International Jude Bellingham in the Spanish capital.
Although Real Madrid has identified Alexander-Arnold as the primary target for summer transport, negotiations remain complicated.
Being a free agent adds layers of complexity as factors such as signature fees, image rights and performance bonuses should be tackled.

During his time in Liverpool, Alexander-Arnold has drawn his name in the club’s history books.
He recently set the Premier League record for most assistants from a defender, surpassing teammate Andy Robertson with his 60th and 61st assists during a 3-3 draw against Newcastle earlier this season.
If he leaves Anfield, he will do so as one of the most successful modern players in the club, winning the Premier League, the Champions League, the FA Cup, the Carabao Cup, the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup.
If the transition to Real Madrid has been finalized, Alexander-Arnold will follow in the steps of Liverpool Academy graduates, Steve McManaman and Michael Owen, who were both integrated to Los Blancos.
However, the former Liverpool defender and the legend of the Association Jamie Carragher warned that Alexander-Arsarol’s departure could affect the way in which Reds fans remember.
“It’s more than just a football decision,” Carragher told Sky Sports. This is his legacy in Liverpool and how it looks. Do you want to see like (Steven) Gerrard or (Steve) McManaman?
“He went to Real Madrid and won cups, but he is not worshiped.
“As a local player. Trent was there for 20 years. I don’t think it would be nice to have the feeling of leaving free.
“Things are expected by you as a local player. I think Liverpool is difficult as a local player.
“I wanted to leave the right way, so they remember me in the right way.
“If he stays, he will remember as one of the best to play for the club and not far behind Gerrard.”
