
Travis Kelce shares an update on his film debut in the Happy Gilmore 2.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, said on the Monday, Jan. 13, episode of ESPN The Pat McAfee Show that he has “a few scenes” coming up Adam Sandler comedy and that filming is a “heavy load” of work.
“It was a dream come true. I thought SNL would have been the pinnacle of my acting, showmanship or entertainment career. Working with Happy Gilmore himself, Sandman and Happy Productions, it was off the chain,” he added, to Diversity.
Kelce shared that working with Sandler is no different than working with the Chiefs coach Andy Reid.
“They are so professional and so much fun to work with. I felt like I was working with the Andy Reid of the acting world,” he said. “(Sandler) is just as cool on screen as he is off screen. It was a dream come true. That was great.”

NetflixAddressing the theory that he might appear in the film, Travis said: “Man, I didn’t even know there was a job opening for Happy Gilmore 2.”
Travis added that he’s a “huge Sandman fan” and would jump at the chance to appear in a film with Sandler, but said it’s all a “conspiracy theory” at the end of the day.
“I’ll be looking further…anything to get around Happy Gilmorean Adam Sandler movie or set — count on me, too,” he added. “I will do everything in the film. I’ll be a part of it any way I can.
A few months later, in August 2024, Sandler confirmed that Travis will appear in the film.
“Travis … he brought it up, so we’ve got something good for Travis,” Sandler, 58, told The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The actor gushed over Travis, adding, “He’s a very nice guy. You guys would love it in real life. What a big, handsome man. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a horse and he’s so funny.
