Sporting has confirmed an agreement with Chelsea on the transfers of Geovany Quenda and Dario Essugo.

Chelsea could pay up to £ 41.9 million for Quenda, which is turning 18 in April after moving quickly to secure the future of the wing, which attracts interest from Manchester United.

Quenda broke in the first team under the United Boss Ruben Amorim this season and will stay with the Portuguese club by 2026.

Essugo, a 20 -year -old defensive midfielder who today loan with Las Palmas in Laliga, will cost £ 18.5 million. He will participate in Chelsea this summer.

Quenda, who has played as a wing and wing for sports, is expected to sign a seven -year agreement with an option for an additional 12 months and has already passed his medicine.

The teenager is believed to have chosen Chelsea amid interest from a number of other clubs and liked the fact that they wanted to give him time to mature and grow up as a player.

Essugo already had his medicine and it is understood that Chelsea sees him as a winner of a ball that will normally take minutes under Enzo Maresca and adds deep to their team.

He became the youngest player in Sporting when he made his first team debut a week after turning 16 in 2021.

The arsenal forward, Roque says, is the most accurate comparison for Quenda. But it makes it clear that this does not tell the whole story of the adolescent’s potential.

“There’s only one Geovany Quenda,” Rove says. “It’s different from any other player I trained. He can create a sign in football that is completely different.

“We’re talking, with Lamine Yamal and Estevao Willian (who will take part in Chelsea in the summer of 2025), perhaps the best players in this generation born in 2007.”
