Tony Bennettthe daughters of have accused their brother Danny of bad management the late singerthe finances of.

Antonia and Johanna requested in January court documents obtained by people that they have “serious concerns” about the “mismanagement” of Danny’s role as trustee of the Bennet estate.

“Danny acted in multiple conflicting trust capacities for an extended period prior to Tony’s death and took (for himself and his children) substantial funds from the family trust,” court documents said. “Furthermore, as has been released by Danny to various media outlets, at some point prior to Tony’s death, Tony entered a phase of diminished capacity, meaning that Tony was no longer able to act as a co-trustee, leaving Danny to serve as the sole an unsupervised family trust trustee.’

According to Antonia and Johanna, their late father had a “clear intention and direction” that all four of his children would be treated equally. They are looking for Danny’s accounting both before and after Bennet’s death in 2023.

Antonia and Johanna named Danny in a June 2024 legal claim, claiming certain assets had disappeared since Bennett’s death. The two women, as well as their brother Yes all are beneficiaries of the Tony Bennett 1994 Family Trust, while Danny is the sole trustee.

Danny has not spoken publicly about his sisters’ new allegations, but previously filed to have the lawsuit transferred to surrogate’s court or dismissed in November 2023. Antonia and Johanna are now asking the court to reject his request.

Bennett died at the age of 96 in July 2023 He is survived by wife Susan Benedict and his four children. He shared Danny and Day with the ex Patricia Bookas well as his two daughters with an ex Sandra Grant.

A year after Bennett’s death, Antonia and Johanna accused their sibling of misconduct. According to the received from people the two claimed Danny would write checks using funds from the trust “as he saw fit” and made “numerous gifts to himself” totaling more than $200,700. Antonia and Johanna also claim that Danny took $50,000 in advances in addition to the commissions he earned as Bennett’s business manager.

The legendary jazz singer created the trust in 1994, naming his sons as co-trustees. The fund was amended in 2008, in which Dae was replaced as trustee with the singer himself.

Antonia and Johanna also named Day and Benedetto as defendants in the suit, claiming they avoided “responsibility for Danny’s actions” because they had previously argued the sisters “were not entitled” to seek accounting for periods before Bennet’s death . Neither Day nor Benedetto have publicly addressed the allegations.
