A few celebrities seem to have Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager to give thanks for their recent engagements.
While chatting about Zendaya and Tom Hollandis engagement news on the Tuesday, January 7 episode of Today with Hoda and Jennathe co-hosts recalled how they had previously predicted the couple would take the next big step in their relationship.
“Do you remember when Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco were they dating Did we say they were getting engaged? And guess what they did,” Kotb, 60, said. Her comments were followed by a clip of her and Bush Hager, 43, reacting to Gomez, 32, and Blanco Engagement December 2024 in the show.
“So now it’s time for Zendaya and Tom,” Bush Hager said in the replayed clip, while Kotb noted, “Probably everything is happening and we’re going to play this clip again.”

As the women predicted last month, news broke on Monday, Jan. 6, that Zendaya and Holland, both 28, got engaged over the holidays after dating for several years. One day ago, Zendaya sparked engagement rumors with a sport diamond ring that finger on her left hand at 2025 Golden Globes.
“Tom decided the holidays were the best time to get married in a very low-key way,” a source exclusively said Us Weekly on Monday. “She didn’t want anything over the top.”

On Tuesday Hoda and Jenna episode, Kotb and Bush Hager continued to list reasons why they suspected the couple’s engagement was imminent, citing how Zendaya and Holland wore matching maroon outfits while dining in New York in October 2024. It was during this outing that Holland went viral for defending Zendaya from aggressive paparazzi.

However, the telltale sign for Kotb and Bush Hager was that Holland revealed he was one spending the holidays in the USA with Zendaya’s family in the December 2024 episode The Waitrose Meal Podcast.. During the interview, he also mentioned that he and the actress want to bring their families together during future holidays.
With two correct celebrity engagement guesses under their belts, Kotb and Bush Hager ended the discussion by sharing their “ultimate prediction” as the host duo. (Kotb will leave Today after nearly 30 years at NBC on Friday, January 10.)

Another source exclusively said us last month that Swift and Kelce, who began meeting in 2023they are in no rush to get engaged. “Taylor feels like Travis is The One, but jumping isn’t her style,” they explained. “That’s just not how she does (things).
