For the first time since the British Open in July, Tiger forests Is back in action on a golf course.
Woods, 49, laid on Friday to play 18 holes on the Genesis Invitational At Torrey Pines.
It will be the first time that Woods will compete, because he had a microdiscectomy in September to relieve pain in his legs. It was the sixth operation he has undergone on his lower back.

It is also the first time that Woods will play since the loss of his mother, Kultida Woods, who died on Tuesday at the age of 80.
Normally the Genesis is Invitational in the Riviera Country Club, but the tournament was moved to Torrey Pines because of the forest fires that destroyed the Los Angeles community.
Woods was very successful during his illustrious career at Torrey Pines, with eight victories on the public track next to the Pacific Ocean.

Torrey Pines is the course where forests last finished in the top 10 at a PGA Tour Event, when he was open in a draw at the Farmers Insurance in 2020.
There is no cut at the Genesis Invitational, which means that Woods will run all four days, regardless of his performance.
The last time Woods played four rounds was at Last year’s mastersWhen he broke the tournament record for most cuts on the prestigious major with his 24th consecutive cut.

Woods missed the cut at the other three major tournaments in which he played.
The 15-times large champion participated in the Indoor TGL League, which debuted on January 7, 2025.
The Genesis Invitational starts on 13 February and runs until 16 February.
