Tiger Woods and Commissioner PGA Tour Jay Monahan published a statement saying they were “committed to reuniting golf” after a White House session with President Donald Trump.
Also on Thursday was PIF commander and golf chief Yasir Al-Rumayyan and director PGA player Adam Scott.
“We have just completed a constructive session in the White House with President Trump and Yasir Al-Rumayyan,” a statement by Monahan, Woods and Scott Read.
“Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, we have begun a discussion of golf reunification. We are committed to proceeding as quickly as possible and sharing additional details as appropriate.
“We share a passion for the game and the importance of reunification. Most importantly, we all want the best players in the world to play together more often and we are committed to doing everything we can to offer this result for our fans.”

President Trump himself had commented earlier that he had “interesting discussions” as part of the efforts to resolve a schism in the professional golf between the PGA tour and the LIV golf backed by Saudi Arabia.
Trump, who is deeper into an attempt to end the golfing golf, appeared in the White House for a Black History Month event after meeting Woods on stage wearing the presidential medal of freedom, while Monahan and In 2013 Masters Scott champion was in the crowd.
“I always tried to swing just like Adam, it never worked in this way,” Trump said, adding that “he had some interesting discussions” with golf players.
PGA Tour said earlier on February 6th that after a meeting with Trump was closer to reaching an agreement with the LIV Golf Saudi supporters.

An agreement to resolve cracks in professional golf was already closer, according to Commissioner PGA Tour Jay Monahan, who thanked President Trump for “involved for the good of the game”
Woods, a 15 -year -old major winner, works with Scott and Monahan on the subject, but lost his initial meeting because his mother had recently died.
“I think things will be healed quickly,” Woods said on Sunday during the CBS broadcast of the Genesis Invitational Tournament on Torrey Pines, California.
LIV GOLF attracted some of the world’s top players after its foundation in 2021. The best players from both LIV and PGA Tour play each other only several times a year.
Trump played Woods on February 9 at his Club at West Palm Beach, Florida. Trump awarded Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2019.
