‘The View’ co-host vows to ‘wear a MAGA hat’ if Trump gets Hamas to release hostages

The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin said she would wear a MAGA hat for an entire episode of the show if newly elected President Donald Trump manages to get Hamas to release its hostages.

Griffin’s suggestion came as the female hosts discussed Trump’s appearance at the reopening of Notre Dame. After a catastrophic fire in 2019, France’s Notre Dame Cathedral hosted its first Mass on Sunday, filling the space with a crowd for the first time in almost five years. The Sunday mass followed that of the cathedral opening ceremonywhich took place on Saturday and was attended by Trump, first lady Jill Biden, Prince William and other notable figures.

Photos of Trump and the first lady cordially exchanging pleasantries at the event went viral, with the new president using one to advertise his new perfume line.

“Here are my new Trump perfumes and colognes! I call them Fight, Fight, Fight, because they represent us WINNING,” Trump wrote in a message on his social media platform Truth Social. “A scent your enemies cannot resist,” reads the slogan.

The co-hosts of “The View” were divided over Trump’s messages and photos with the first lady, and whether relations are as cordial as they seem.

Co-host Sara Hines warned that there may be more going on behind the scenes than what a photo shows.

“There are two pictures I took of the same thing you’re looking at – it doesn’t look so cordial, there could be more to it,” she said.

However, Griffin argued that this photo not only reassures America and its allies, but also warns its global enemies that the republic remains united.

“It’s important that not only America’s allies are watching, but America’s adversaries are watching that moment, and the world watched this election and waited with bated breath to know what was going to happen and to know that there would be a peaceful transfer of power would take place. despite my warnings and others about my concerns about Donald Trump – which are still very real – that America is moving forward and the first lady will be able to be cordial with him on the world stage,” the show’s co-host said. host, who once worked for Trump, said. “Also on the sidelines of this, he met with Macron and Zelenskyy and talked about the war in Ukraine and that’s something I care about a lot, and I want Donald Trump to come along and maybe continue to support Ukraine by holding on to the US position.”

She then underlined her point and made a proposal that immediately resonated.

“My point in saying I’m not going to be apocalyptic is that there’s no tone change. It does not mean that five alarm signals are made of everything. If he does it right – if he gets the Israeli hostages out, I promise I will. wear a MAGA hat during the show and say, ‘Thanks for doing it,'” Griffin said.

“Please don’t do that,” one of her co-hosts said irritably.

“She’ll knock it off my head,” Griffin joked, before arguing: “You should be able to cheer for victories when they happen, and ruthlessly denounce the wrongdoing.”

Griffin previously worked for Trump during his first administration as White House director of strategic communications before resigning in December 2020. Since joining “The View,” she has been an outspoken critic of Trump, often warning of the danger he poses to the country.
