NASCAR truck series Team Hendrick Motorsports had a blunt reaction to overturning Chase Briscoe’s sentence. The answer came after briefing on Briscoe’s appeal decision was published in social media.
HMS reacted to the news with a single word. The tweet responded to Motorsports journalist Jeff Gluck who shared that Chase Briscoe had won his appeal and had a penalty shootout completely. Hendrick Motorsports wrote:
“Bruh.”
According to Gluck, the panel overturned the sentence, as a part of a part of a source was found in the car. Report of news wrote:
“Chase Briscoe wins his appeal, the penalty is completely overturned. Appeal Council: The table believes that the extension of some of the holes in the base of 19 cup of car is caused by the process of attaching this particular spoiler base to the rear deck rather than a modification of the part of a source.”
To give the framework to the incident, Chase Briscoe was punished after Daytona 500 when Nascar found that the No. 19 spoiler base Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota violated the rules. Nascar issued a L2 level penalty, which included a 100-point discount for Briscoe, a 10-point-point penalty, a $ 100,000 fine for the Joe Gibbs matches and a suspension of four matches for the James Small crew leader.
However, the National Motor Motor Appeals group ruled that the issue of the spoiler was due to the adhesion process and not to the intentional modification. As a result, all sanctions were canceled. The owner of the team Joe Gibbs Joe Gibbs expressed his gratitude, saying (via nascar.com):
“We appreciate the process at our disposal by NASCAR that allowed us to show our explanation of what led to the penalty issued to our Group No 19. We are grateful for the appreciation and decision by the Motorsports National Appeal Committee. Starting this weekend in Phoenix.
With the reversal, Chase Briscoe, who was at the end of the rankings, is now back in a dispute, moving to 15th to 72 points. The decision also restores the lost owners of Joe Gibbs Racing, which could be significantly in the long run.

Fox Sports journalist Bob Pockrass shared the decision of the appeal committee, confirming that Chase Briscoe’s sentence had been overthrown, his points restored and his team was cleared for fines or suspensions. Wrote:
“JGR/Chase Briscoe wins the appeal to the sentence issued after the change of Daytona 500 for holes at the base of the spoiler. His 100 points were restored and there was no suspension in James Small and without a fine in the team,” tweeted.
Relieved by the decision, briscoe expressed his excitement In social media, thanking NASCAR for allowing the process of appealing and thanking his team to help him fight the sentence. Said:
“The biggest spots of my career! We’re back! With all seriousness thank you to Nascar for giving us the choice to show our evidence and thank you in all the Joe Gibbs races for spending countless hours to put everything together. “
With his sentence overturning, Briscoe jumps from 40th to 15th in the Cup series with 72 points. His crew leader, James Small, will return immediately, repeating his role to the top of No. 19 pit box for the upcoming race at Phoenix Raceway.
The appeals team consists of Dixon Johnston, Hunter Nicell and Cathy Rice. NASCAR has no choice but to question the decision, making its final Briscoe.
