Lamine Yamal gave a simple but steady “no” when asked if he could be enticed to Real Madrid instead of signing a new contract in Barcelona.
Yamal’s current contract at Barca expires in 2026, which led to proposals that he could be tempted to leave his children’s club and sign elsewhere.
However, it is believed that the framework of an agreement is already in force with Barca and is likely to be signed when Yamal is turning 18 on July 13.
This has not stopped speculation, however, with Barca leaders, Madrid was still referred to as a potential destination.
Asked about a possible move to Santiago Bernabeu, Spain told El Mundo Deportivo: “Impossible. Madrid? No.”

Yamal – I owe everything to Barca
Barca President Joan Laporta has said many times that the club has received several offers for Yamal, but remains the key to the club’s long -term plans as they prepare to return to the renewed Camp Nou.
The teenager said: “It is the only club I have gone besides La Torreta, which was the team where I started. But yes, I owe everything to Barça. Finally, I grew up. I was in La Masía since I was 12 years old and from seven playing at Barça.
“I think no one doubts I’m Cule (fan barca) and what I want for this club. Since I made my debut I have said it and I think the (the contract) will be resolved in the end. If both parts want Something will happen, but I think no one can doubt what I feel about this club. “
The teenager plays comparisons with Lionel Messi
Yamal was forced to compare with Lionel Messi after popping up on stage at the European Championship last summer, where he played a central role in Spain that won the title.
He said: “Fortunately, I’m not the first person to happen.
“I’m trying to be me. Obviously Messi, and I always say it, is the best player in history and compared to him that you do things right, but I try to be me. I try to make my way and give everything for this shirt. ”
‘Ask more every day’
The rise of Yamal in a prominent position means that his life is very different from the average 17 -year -old boy.
Asked what drives him, he said: “Ask for more every day. Everything helps me. ”
Yamal played as Barca beat Rayo Vallecano 1-0 on Monday night to go to the top of La Liga.
Then, for Hansi Flick’s side, it is a trip to Gran Canaria to face Las Palmas on Saturday night.
