While some franchises are dealing with on-air lawsuits – including Real Housewives of New Jersey”s Theresa and Joe Giudiceis case of fraud, The Real Housewives of New Yorkis Sonya Morganfiling for bankruptcy and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Erica Janeis of an estranged husband appropriation case — other stars try not to broadcast the trials. Dorit Kemsley, for example ran into her RHOBA castmates over allegations that she allegedly owed money to her former business partner, but the drama never made it to air. However, onlooker videos of the incident went viral online.
“Obviously it happened, it’s all on the internet,” Kemsley said Andy Cohen in 2019 as he reflected on the “awkward” confrontation caught on tape. “I was thankful the other ladies didn’t bring it up this season. … I feel very comfortable with our position, but unfortunately my hands are tied. You can’t discuss legal issues when they are ongoing and I respect that.
