The Governor of New York refuses to say whether Cuomo is suitable to serve as a NYC mayor


Government Kathy Hochul, D-NY, refused to say Monday whether the former Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, was suitable for serving as mayor after he announced his candidacy to lead the city.

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer asked the governor during his show, “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer”, about Cuomo’s candidacy and whether he is suitable for leading.

“This is what I’m going to tell you about the mayor’s race. And this is what you will hear all the way up today until the elections are over in June. I will work with whom the really smart voters of New York City decide that they want to be their mayor,” Hochul replied.

Cuomo resigned in 2021 In the midst of accusations of sexual harassment and said that the moment he was “deep” he was sorry for any behavior that was deemed inappropriate during his office. Blitzer followed by asking if she could work with Cuomo despite their history. “It is up to voters, Wolf. I do not inject my voice into this election. There are many people who have brought up their names. I admire everyone who wants to run to the office. I am in my 16th elections. I know how challenging it is, but I want people who put the city in the first place, who understand that I have more invested in a long time, she in a long time, she has in a long time, she has in a long time, she in a long time.

She turned to her own agenda, praised a decrease in metro crimes and getting homeless from the street.

“So my agenda is widely based. It is very supportive for the city. I had to work with Bill de Blasio as mayor. I work with Eric Adams in the last number of years. And whatever the voters decide, I will respect that,” she continued.
