Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawas Dogs helped to find the actor’s body when the authorities arrived at the couple of the couple on 26 February.
Santa Fe Fire Chief Brian Moya explained that the Betsy department was immediately in a bathroom after he entered the front door of the New Mexico house. However, officials searched for almost 30 minutes without signs of Hackman.
While paramedics and officers of the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department searched the house, one of the dogs of the couple continued to run towards them. Authorities originally thought that the dog wanted to play, but later realized that the puppy was trying to help. One of the dogs from Hackman and Betsy died, but two stayed alive in the house and could roam through an open back door.

Moya previously told Fox News Digital that the authorities believed Hackman and Betsy died in a similar time frame.
“Only because both bodies were in the same way where we as experts are sad to say that we know a lot about how people die and how long people are dead – both bodies are in a similar way that it could be a similar time frame,” said Moya.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department later confirmed during a press conference that Betsy probably died on 11 February. Hackman probably died a week later.

Authorities determined that Betsy died on or around 11 February due to her activity and communication. The former classic pianist had an e -mail conversation on the morning of 11 February before he went to a local supermarket, a pharmacy and a pet store. She returned to the gated community of the couple around 5:15 pm, the details of the garage Clicker showed.
“Based on the circumstances, it is reasonable to conclude that (Betsy) first died, with 11 February the last time she was known,” said Jarrell.
Authorities responded to a 911 call on 26 February and discovered Hackman and Betsy died inside.
The investigation continues to be underway until the data from mobile phones can be revised and a necropsy is performed on their dog, Zina.
