For the first time in 31 years, an American has the Los Angeles Marathon.
Matt Richtman, a resident of Illinois, was the victor in what it was in the second largest field in the history of the race, For ABC7. He ran 2:07:56 and wore an American flag after exceeding the finish line.

“It is definitely a surprise,” Guidelman admitted after winning the race, according to ABC7. “You know, I really worked out well; it is really difficult to judge where you are taking on the competition, but it was a really good group that is there today, and I was really happy to run with those boys and eventually win.”
Richtman stood in front of Keny’s Athanas Kioko, who Sond in second place With a time of 2:10:55, while colleague Kenyan Mose Kiptoo finished third at 2:13:13.
Guider, who was one Montana State University Bobcat at the university, added that he really had “not too much of a strategy” to get away with the victory.
“The first half I just wanted to stay in that group did not really want to push the pace or the lead or something similar, just a kind of stay, feel it, because it is a challenging course.

“The whole race that I ran with a little fear. It’s hard if you can’t see what’s going on behind you.”
Fearer clearly pushed the guideline into every equipment he needed to maintain the pace and first exceed the finish line.
Richthman sent his appreciation to those in the city of Los Angeles who encourage him during the race.

“It’s such a great day, you know, the 40 -year anniversary (from the race), there are so many old runners here, and the crowd was great,” he said. “There were people throughout the job and it really helps. It is amazing how much a crowd the course of what you do can change.”
