A father of three was shot and killed while driving home from work to install Christmas lights at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
According to the Houston Police Department, detectives responded to a car crash along a busy highway on December 2 around 10:30 p.m.
Authorities found the driver, identified as 37-year-old Robert Schorovsky, in critical condition at the scene. Police said he was shot “at least once.”
“We’re all in shock. It’s been tough. Just one shot – no holes in the truck, no windows blown out. Just that one thing,” his wife, Brittany Ray, said KHOU11.

Schorovsky was transported by the Houston Fire Department to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on November 4.
The 37 year old was a father of three children aged 9, 11 and 14 years old.

His obituary described him as family-oriented and a hard worker.
“Robbie enjoyed spending time with his family and making lasting memories. When he wasn’t at work, you might find him fishing in the neighborhood pond to clear his head,” the obituary said. “There are many memories of walking, biking and traveling with the children that they will hold in their hearts forever. He was a hard worker and took pride in being able to fix just about anything, including his white Chevy truck. “
“His focus was on making and keeping his Brittany happy, even going so far as to ride roller coasters with her even though he hated them,” it reads. “Robbie loved with all his heart and enjoyed helping those around him whenever he could.”

Police said there are none known witnesses or suspects.
