Before she won a few WNBA MVP Trophies, Candace Parker rose to national basketball prominences at the University of Tennessee. Parker was a member of two national championship-winning teams and earned the most excellent players of the NCAA tournament along the way.
Parker was led by coach Pat Summitt during her striking term of office with The volunteers. Parker, an “NBA on TNT” analyst, took a moment to share how she continues to bear the lessons that the deceased coach brought in years ago.
“I would say that eye contact is real, really, very important. And she was the first person who really made me look at her when she would talk,” Parker responded to the request of fellow guest in Adam Lefkoe to share some memorable advice from Summitt during a “Storytime” segment.

“And now, when I’m at home, and I raise my son, my son says:” Look at me. Look at me. ” As always, because I didn’t realize that I always say that. Parker added.

Lefkoe thanked Parker and then remembered another story that the triple WNBA champion once told.
“We all want a relationship with someone like you did with Pat,” said Lefkoe. ‘I will never forget that you tell me the story about how you came to university. You were injured and she would just let you sit there. And you would talk. I think it’s a blessing. I want you to thank you for sharing these stories with us because we don’t have these relationships like you did.
