Taylor Ann Green is back for another season of Southern charm — but that doesn’t mean she’ll be spending much time alone with her ex-boyfriend Shep Rose.
“My boundaries have definitely changed since last season,” Taylor, 30, exclusively said Us Weekly while promoting Season 10 of the Bravo series, which premieres Thursday, December 5th. “I was all over the place with just my emotions and I thought Shep and I were going to get back together, which is strange.”
Entering this season, Taylor said he had a “completely different mindset.” The reality star explained that through therapy she feels more “balanced and grounded” and has kept a healthy distance from Shep, 44.
Those boundaries extended to Taylor’s boyfriend, Gaston Rojaswho fans will see here and there this season. However, Gaston will not be crossing paths with Shep, with whom Taylor split in the summer of 2022. after two years of relationship.
“I don’t need to be in a relationship with my ex-boyfriend. It’s just disrespectful to myself and it’s also disrespectful to my current relationship,” Taylor said us. “There’s really no reason for Shep and Gaston to have any interactions or relationships. I really don’t find it useful.
Taylor explained that if she sees Shep in Charleston, they hug and she asks how he’s doing. “But there’s no reason for us to have any relationship beyond that,” she said.
When it comes to Gaston – with whom he is friends several Southern hospitality stars — talking to Shep Southern charmTaylor said that wasn’t going to happen.
“There are no interactions this season. The only interaction they ever had was at BravoCon,” Taylor confirmed, referring to the multi-day Bravo convention last November.
us confirmed in July 2022 that Taylor and Shep gave up after going public with their relationship in 2020. During Season 9 of the Bravo show, Shep and Taylor had many highs and lows as they navigated their post-breakup dynamic. Their relationship soured when Shep’s longtime friend Austin Kroll admitted to kissing Taylor after denying the relationship for months.
While Shep apologized to Taylor and Austin, 37, during the the season 9 reunion for his negative response to their kiss, Taylor break up with your ex in the fall of 2023. She said us last month that Shep is no longer blocked on her phone, but she doesn’t have his number.

“Unblocked my country. There’s no reason for me to have your number, so I’m going to unblock you, but please don’t contact me,” she said of her approach to her friendship with Shep. “If you contact me, keep contacting me, I’ll block you again.”
Taylor noted that Shep respected her wishes “for the most part,” but fans will see a few instances where that wasn’t the case in the upcoming season.
Viewers will also get to see Shep’s rekindled romance Southern charm during group travel. (During season 10 trailer(Shep says he’s found “love” with the former Miss Bahamas, but his friends aren’t convinced.)
Taylor, for her part, has chosen to stay as far away from Shep’s relationship drama as possible. “I feel very far from it. It’s something I just look at and say, “I’m glad it’s not me.” And I say that with respect – she admitted us. “But I’m in such a happy place where I go, ‘Everything happens for a reason.’ I am very happy with the person I am with. So seeing that I’m just walking away, “I’m just glad it’s not me.”
Taylor who exclusively speaking us in October 2023 that she has met Gaston, is looking to the future with her boyfriend – which could mean living together after a proposal.
“I said I had to wear a ring on my finger before that happened,” she teased about sharing a flat with Gaston. “So we’re definitely taking the next step forward and we’ve talked about it extensively, so things are really cool.”
She noted that since they’re in a good place, bringing the Bravo cameras into their lives is something she’s hesitant about. “I want to protect this relationship. He’s very special to me and it’s a safe place for me,” Taylor shared, noting that she doesn’t plan to drag Gaston into the show permanently.
However, Gaston will be raised by newbie Sally Carsonwho is his ex. “I hadn’t officially met her. “I had met her briefly in the crowd,” Taylor said us of the newcomer pushing her buttons. “To have someone come in who I don’t really know and try to ruffle everybody’s feathers was a bit disappointing. But this is probably the only person who really did.
Taylor revealed that Sally’s intervention would not cause much damage to her and Gaston. “It wasn’t an issue between Gaston and me. It was kind of like that pesky mosquito where you just say, “Get out of here. Stop it. Just stop,” she said with a laugh.
Taylor added that she feels like Gaston is The One, especially after his reality TV debut. “He knows more about rings than I do, and he loves children,” she gushed. “He’s so ready to have a family and just have his own personality and live life with it, and I’m ready to do that too.”
