Tatum O’Neal Shared her destructive response to cutting the will of her deceased father Ryan O’Neal.

Ryan shared Tatum and her brother Griffin O’Neal, 60, with his deceased ex-wife Joanna Moore. He was also father of son Patrick O’Neal, 57, whom he shared with ex-wife Leigh Taylor-Young, as well as son Redmond O’Neal, 40, whom he shared with the deceased actress Farrah Fawcett.

O’Neal and Griffin lived with their mother until 1970, when Moore lost custody of her children after he had been arrested for a diz. Moore struggled with chronic problems with alcohol and drug abuse and was arrested for driving several times. She died of lung cancer in 1997 at the age of 63.
After Moore lost custody of O’Neal and Griffin, they started living with Ryan. At the age of 10, O’Neal became the youngest Oscar winner in history when she played opposite her father in 1973’s “Paper Moon”.
O’Neal, however, unveiled in the first of her two autobiographies, ‘A Paper Life’ of 2004, that their relationship was Rocky after the release of the film, because her father was jealous of her success.
“It’s very ugly,” O’Neal told Variety.

In her memoirs, O’Neal described Ryan’s violent mood, claiming that she was physically and emotional abuse by her father, who was also Addicted to drugs. O’Neal also revealed that she was later molested by a drug dealer, who was a member of Ryan’s Inner Circle.
During her interview with Variety, O’Neal said that she believed that Ryan excludes her from his will because of ‘a paper life’.
“The first book I wrote was just an honest book,” she said. “And that’s what brought him.”
In a declaration of 2004 to Dateline, Ryan denied the allegations that O’Neal made against him in “A Paper Life”, and quoted her own old struggles with drug and alcohol addiction.
“It is a sad day when malignant lies are told to become a” bestseller, “he said. “As a father it is my hope that this book was written to serve as her therapy, and if this is what she had to do to wake up every day and live with herself, then I can only support her healing process, good, bad and ugly.”
He continued: “It is now my hope that she will remain sober, so that her perception of the future is nothing as her cloudy memories of the past.”

In ‘A Paper Life’ O’Neal remembered how her relationship with her father went back after ‘Paper Moon’. While Ryan’s acting as Conman Moses earned praise praise from critics, O’Neal’s representation of the orphan button Annie Loggins attracted the most attention, with the young actress being declared a prodigy.
O’Neal claimed that Ryan hit her after she received her Academy Award Nomination for the best supporting actress. The star “Love Story” did not accompany his daughter to the award ceremony and later admitted that her victory led to tension within the family.

After her divorce, O’Neal tried to set up an acting co -back, but her career put it seriously addicted to heroin. While she continued to fight addicted, O’Neal occasionally acted, usually in small parts in films and making guest appearances in TV programs.

O’Neal and Ryan were alienated for almost 20 years until they reconcile in 2009 after the death of Fawcett. In 2011, the two played the lead role in their own reality series “Ryan and Tatum: The O’neals”, which followed their failed attempts to restore their relationship.
In May 2020, O’Neal Almost deceased From a stroke she suffered after an overdose on painkillers, opiates and morphine. After her stroke, O’Neal stayed in a coma for six weeks in a coma, and she was left with persistent aphasia, who influenced her ability to speak, read and write.

“Now I don’t want to hurt myself,” said O’Neal. “Now I don’t want to use drugs-I really don’t do that.”

Although she has taken steps in her recovery of the stroke, O’Neal suffers from memory problems and chronic pain. She told Variety that she recently undergone a back operation and learns how to read again.
Nevertheless, O’Neal continues to struggle with austerity and tells variety that she fell back in the night of the US presidential elections when she realized that President Donald Trump would overcome.
“I was with my gay friends and said,” I’m going to have a glass of wine – maybe two, “she remembered.” And then I thought, “Ok, damn it: I have a day of austerity.”

O’Neal revealed that she saw Ryan three times before he died. Shortly before Ryan’s death she visited her father in his Malibu house, that was Destroyed in January During the Palisades fire.
