Suspects cut through California Army Reserve Center fence before stealing Humvees equipment


Three Humvees and other military equipment were stolen from an Army Reserve Center in Tustin, California According to police earlier this week.

Unknown suspects entered a storage facility at the Army Reserve Center on Wednesday between 8 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., Tustin police wrote in a news release.

Multiple storage lockers were found in the facility with locks removed and items missing.

The suspects made an unsuccessful attempt to cut a lock at a uniform storage facility.

Police say the suspects cut through a fence to gain access to a parking for military vehicleswhere they stole three Humvees.

According to police, the suspects left the area at an unknown time.

In total, the suspects stole one armored Humvee, two Humvees with fabric doors, eight machine gun vehicle mounts, seven free-standing machine gun tripods, 40 binoculars, 18 bayonets and medical equipment.

The military told police it was not aware of any additional loss of weapons or ammunition.
