Students killed in a fiery Cybertruck crash the day before Thanksgiving


The City Piedmont has identified the victims of a fatal crash that killed three students and injured another the day before Thanksgiving.

Soren Dixon, Jack Nelson and Krysta Tsukahara, recent graduates of Piedmont High School in California, were tragically killed in a single-vehicle crash engulfed in flames, according to Piedmont police.

The PPD was notified of the accident when they received an iPhone alert about the collision and received a 911 call. Responding officers found one Tesla Cybertruck on fire.

Three of the four occupants were killed the accident. The fourth, identified as 20-year-old Jordan Miller, was seriously injured and taken to an area hospital where he remains in stable condition.

The city of Piedmont released a statement on Tuesday emphasizing the importance of giving families space during this difficult time.

“I am moved by how our small community has come together to provide comfort to these families and each other during a time of unimaginable loss,” Piedmont Mayor Jen Cavenaugh said. “The outpouring of support seen at Thursday’s Turkey Trot and Friday night’s vigil was tremendous. Now we must respect the wishes of the victims’ families to grieve privately.”

The official cause of the collision remains under investigation, Piedmont Police Chief Jeremy Bowers said.
