MILAN (Reuters) – Franco-Italian carmaker Stellantis ( NYSE: ) on Wednesday denied a report by daily Corriere della Sera that it planned to appoint outgoing Apple ( NASDAQ: ) finance chief Luca Maestri as its new chief executive.
“That’s not true,” a Stellantis spokesman said, after Corriere reported that Stellantis chairman John Elkann planned to appoint Maestri following the departure of CEO Carlos Tavares.
