‘Stay Sharp, Look Sharper’ – Suryakumar Yadav Shares Photos With New Hairstyle


India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav took to social media on Thursday, December 19 to show off his new hairstyle. The Mumbai cricketer was recently seen in action during the 2024 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT). After missing the opening rounds of the tournament due to personal reasons, the 34-year-old returned for the final part of the competition.

Suryakumar was instrumental in the final, scoring a crucial 48 runs against Madhya Pradesh. Chasing 175, Mumbai secured a five-wicket win with 13 balls to spare, clinching their second SMAT title. In all, the dynamic batsman amassed 132 runs in five innings throughout the tournament.

Ahead of his next assignment, Suryakumar took a break to show off his fresh look. She shared photos on Instagram with celebrity hairstylist Aalim Khan, captioning it:

“Stay sharp, look sharper.”

Suryakumar will return to action for Mumbai in the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy, which begins on Saturday, December 21. Mumbai will face Karnataka in the opening match of the group stage.

Suryakumar Yadav last led India in the T20I series against South Africa

While Suryakumar Yadav is currently focused on the domestic circuit, he successfully captained India in the recent T20I series against South Africa. The men in blue won the four-game series 3-1, with Tilak Varma (280 runs) and Sanju Samson (216 runs) leading the charge while Suryakumar had a relatively quiet innings with the bat.

In all, Suryakumar has played 78 T20Is for India, amassing 2,570 runs at an average of 40.79 and a strike rate of 167.86, including 21 fifties and four centuries. To date, he has captained India in 17 T20Is, winning 14 and losing three.
